Ampal Creative ‘NY City’ Snapback Cap – Black / Corduroy

The Ampal Creative NY City Snapback pays tribute to one of the most recognizable traditions in American sportswear. Part of Ampal Creative’s City Series, the cap was developed as the brand’s interpretation of an American sporting icon. The oversized felt “NY” applique recalls the lettering found on vintage baseball uniforms, athletic warm-up gear, and Ivy League sportswear from the mid-century era. Rather than using heavy retro corduroy, Ampal selected a refined 14-wale cotton corduroy reminiscent of the fabrics commonly seen on campus and athletic apparel during the golden age of American sportswear.

Made in Los Angeles, California, the cap features an unstructured crushable crown, navy herringbone twill underbrim and front panel lining, and Ampal’s signature premium sweatband. The result is a cap that feels equally at home with denim, military jackets, collegiate sweatshirts, or classic workwear, combining vintage East Coast inspiration with modern California craftsmanship.
